Who we Help

Ending the Medical Mystery Tour

You’ve seen the specialists.

The imaging is reported as normal.

Treatment is completed.

The symptoms remain.

That’s where we step in!

When Answers Don’t Match How You Feel

At Florida Functional Neurology Group (FFNG), we work with individuals who are still struggling despite being told everything looks “normal.”

Our evaluation is based on performance, not just how things appear.
It looks at how your brain and body are actually coordinated and functioning together.

Think of it like a field sobriety test. The goal is to assess how the systems perform, not simply how they look.

When sensory input becomes distorted or unreliable, the nervous system can lose efficiency, control, and function.

We help restore function through targeted, drug-free, evidence-based neurological rehabilitation designed to support neuro-synchrony and improve communication across the brain and body.

A drunk driver’s Brain MRI would be “normal”,
that doesn’t mean they’re not impaired.

The FFNG Approach

Florida Functional Neurology Group specializes in helping individuals with complex health conditions that often escape the lens of the current medical model.

We have helped patients with issues involving many body systems, including imbalance, dizziness, dysregulation of unconsciously controlled systems, and more.

We provide drug-free, evidence-based evaluations and neurologically focused rehabilitation for individuals whose symptoms persist despite “normal” imaging, blood work, and other studies.

Based on the image alone, can you determine how well the band plays together?

We can’t know the quality of the music produced from the image alone.

Chronic Pain & Nerves

Focus:Treating structural pain driven by nerve dysfunction by addressing the nervous system alongside the skeletal structure.

  • Nerve & Joint Pain: Chronic Pain & Repetitive Injuries, Sciatica & Spinal Stenosis, Peripheral Neuropathy, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Muscle Weakness.

  • Headache Disorders: Headaches & Migraines (including Tension, Stress, and Food-Related triggers).

Brain Focus, Immunity & Digestion

Focus: Evaluating the developmental, cognitive, and metabolic issues that drive neuro-inflammation and hinder performance.

  • Child & Adult Development: Functional Disconnection Syndrome (Autism Spectrum, ADHD/ADD, Dyslexia, OCD), Developmental Delays, and Academic/Scholastic Performance.

  • Memory: Memory Decline and Brain Fog.

  • Immune & Gut-Brain Axis: Gut/Bowel Dysfunction, Food Allergies/Sensitivities, Systemic Inflammation, Autoimmune Conditions (R.A., Thyroid), P.A.N.D.A.S., Heavy Metal Exposure, Seizure Disorders, and Neuro-Endocrine-Immune Axis Disorders.

Brain Injuries, Trauma & Concussion +

Focus:Head trauma often leaves behind functional disconnects that traditional imaging simply can't see. We work to restore that network integrity so your brain can communicate clearly again.

Vestibular & Balance Systems+

Focus:Feeling off-balance can disrupt your entire day. We work to recalibrate the specific spatial networks in your brain that manage your physical stability and orientation.

Autonomic & Dysautonomia Recovery+

Focus:Symptoms: Unexplained chronic migraines and profound brain fog.

Cognitive, Immune & Gut-Brain Axis +

Focus:Neuro-inflammation can seriously hinder your daily cognitive performance. By looking closely at metabolic and developmental factors, we can address the root causes driving these neurological disruptions.

The Firefighter's Mentality

You cannot put out a grease fire with water.

Prevention stops fires before they start despite the allure & glory of fighting big ones.

Modern medicine often ignores this principle: it reacts instead of prevents, because no one is a hero for putting out a toaster fire.

FAQ

1. What makes FFNG different from traditional medical practices?

Traditional insurance-based medicine often relies on a structural view, meaning they look at the "hardware" of the body to find physical damage like broken bones or tumors. If your scan shows no structural issues, you are typically told you are fine. At FFNG, we look through a different lens by evaluating the "software". We analyze how your brain's networks communicate and whether they have the proper metabolic fuel to operate, allowing us to target the underlying dysfunction rather than just managing symptoms.

2. What is the B.E.A.C.O.N. Protocol?

The B.E.A.C.O.N. Protocol is our comprehensive diagnostic approach designed to test your functional capacity, not just your structure. Because neurological symptoms are driven by network failures, we evaluate major systems simultaneously:

- Balance (Computerized Posturography)

- Eye Movements (VOG Diagnostics)

- Autonomic Function (Blood Pressure, Digestion, Bioresonance)

- Cognitive Function

- Orthopedic Evaluation

- Neurological Evaluation

3. What does it mean to treat the "Undiagnosable"?

Many patients come to us frustrated and exhausted after traditional medicine has labeled them "undiagnosable" because their MRIs or CT scans appear "normal". We specialize in solving these complex medical mysteries by using a multi-lens approach—assessing mechanical, metabolic, and neurological integration—to find the root cause of chronic pain, brain fog, and dizziness

4. What is the "Firefighter's Mentality"?

FFNG was founded by Dr. Alexander Frank, a former firefighter, and his background drives our core clinical philosophy: "If a door is not available, we make a door". We approach health like putting out a towering inferno. Just as water won't put out a grease fire, you cannot treat a metabolic issue with a structural adjustment. We determine the specific type of "fire" (mechanical, metabolic, or energetic) to apply the correct "extinguishing agent".

5. What types of conditions do you treat?

We act as healthcare detectives for complex cases involving Concussions, Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), developmental issues, dizziness, vertigo, dysautonomia (such as POTS), tinnitus, gut and digestive issues, migraines, and chronic pain.

6. What is your new patient intake process like?

We leave no stone unturned, which is why our "Deep Dive" intake process consists of four distinct steps:

1 The Paperwork: You provide your full medical history so we can find what others may have missed.

2 The Analysis: Our clinical team reviews your file before you arrive to ensure you are a candidate for our care.

3 The Exam: A comprehensive, system-by-system evaluation utilizing aerospace-grade technology like VOG and CAPS.

4 The Intensive: Most patients undergo an intensive 1-week or 8-week targeted treatment program.

7. Do I need to submit my past medical records?

Yes. To maximize the value of your care, all new patient documents must be completed and returned prior to scheduling the initial evaluation appointment. This allows our team ample time to review your history so your in-office time is spent face-to-face. For complex cases, we also ask for a detailed timeline of your health issues and previous interventions.

8. What Specialized Care Programs do you offer?

We have specific clinical pathways for patients with unresolved histories. These include Accident & Trauma Care (substantiation and rehab for whiplash and mild TBI), Dizziness & Balance (vestibular rehabilitation for vertigo and POTS), Headache & Facial Pain (targeting neural drivers of migraines and trigeminal neuralgia), and our track for the "Undiagnosable" patient

9. What kind of technology and clinical diagnostics do you use?

We combine traditional neurological and orthopedic care with state-of-the-art clinical neuroscience technologies. This includes Videonystagmography (VOG) to map real-time brain function and sensory integration, Computerized Posturography (CAPS) to precisely measure vestibular stability, and Molecular Hydrogen Therapy to reduce oxidative stress and systemic inflammation.

10. How do you address physical and structural pain?

We treat the "hardware" to restore mechanical integrity and ensure your body can support neurological recovery. To do this, we use Advanced Chiropractic techniques, including Upper Cervical and Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), which allow for gentle, non-twisting structural correction. We also utilize Class 3B LASER Therapy, Kinesiology Taping, and Spinal Decompression.

11. What is SoftWave Therapy?

SoftWave Tissue Regeneration Technologies (TRT) is an advanced Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy that we use to lower inflammation, recruit stem cells, and regenerate damaged tissue.

12. Is nutrition part of the treatment plan?

Absolutely. Metabolic Fuel is one of our core service pillars. We believe that "Food is Fuel," and clinical nutrition is heavily utilized to dampen systemic inflammation and provide the necessary metabolic fuel to repair your brain and body.

13. Does FFNG partner with any other medical organizations?

Yes, FFNG is partnered with the cutting-edge Sozo Brain Center to bring the absolute latest in clinical neurosciences and neuromodulation to our patients. We are proudly the only provider in the United States partnered with this specific neuromodulation center.

14. Do you offer "quick fixes" or miracle cures?

No. We do not offer quick fixes, guarantees, or exaggerated miracle claims. We are a clinical neurology group, not a wellness or spa clinic. We provide precision, systems-level neurological rehabilitation that requires dedication and active participation, which is why our care often involves intensive 8-week recovery journeys to create lasting, structural change.
